Romantic Dinner?
As I walk out of my last class of the day, my wife and kids are waiting for me up in front of my office. They had to come into town for shopping, so we decided to have dinner together. Crossing the campus to my office I noticed the sun setting over the Japan Sea. The view from the University is actually quite nice in the late afternoon. My first thought as I was taking in the falling sun was to have dinner at Sunday’s Sun (think “Denny’s” or “Friendly’s”) which overlooks the Sea. That way we could watch the remainder of the sunset while we eat.
That fleeting thought was quickly followed by the realization that this is as close as we get to a romantic dinner these days. I promised myself that I would not suggest Sunday’s Sun to the family when I got to the office, unfortunately they had the same idea.
Oh well, off to my romantic dinner date. ;o)
