These days, whenever my wife and I say “I love you” to our son, his response is “Thank you”.
I think that is just the cutest thing, if not the nicest. Afterall, must we always respond in kind whenever somebody says “I love you”? Doesn’t it seem so much nicer to just say “Thanks”?
